Mr. Rabindra Jung Lamichhane FRSA (Ravi) was born in remote village of Parbat district in western Nepal to late Chandra Jung Lamichhane and Rukbina Lamichhane.
A Nepali village boy, from a mountainous village, with no electricity, motorway or education facility had come to the UK and became a successful entrepreneur in a leading women’s fashion business in London, his story inspires many. His journey was not very easy but he overcame barriers with his hard work, honesty and work ethic. It took time him to learn but he kept reminding himself his misison & vision of life. He never forgot his willinglness to give back to community and the country. He helped to build temples, schools and provided scholarships over 70 students. To his relentless effort in the area of philanthropy work, the Government of Nepal honoured him with ‘The Suprabal Jana Sewa Shree Award’, one of Nepal’s most distinguished civilian awards that was awarded by the President of Nepal, the Rt Honourbale Mrs Bidhya Devi Bhandari, in April 2020.
